Known for his mesmerizing leg-spin and larger-than-life personality, the late Shane Warne could read the game and his opponents. However, one particular incident in a 2011 Big Bash League (BBL) match was a live example. He predicted and executed Brendon McCullum's dismissal in real time, leaving fans and commentators in awe.

The Melbourne Stars, led by Warne, faced off against the Brisbane Heat in the match held in Brisbane. As Warne prepared to bowl to McCullum in the 10th over, he conversed with the commentators through the microphone.

When asked about his plans for McCullum, Warne said, "Maybe he'll try to shape a sweep after that first one or maybe go inside out again a bit harder. So, wanna try and slide one in there, fast." Warne had predicted the future, reading McCullum's intentions.

In the very same delivery, the former Kiwi batter attempted a sweep shot. However, the ball Warne delivered was a faster, flatter delivery a slider that pitched around the middle and leg stump. The ball spun sharply back, beating McCullum's bat and crashing into the off stump.

McCullum, who had been in good form departed after scoring 36 off 25 balls. This dismissal was not just a turning point in the match but a moment that showed Warne's brilliance. In the match, despite valiant efforts from Michael Neser (30 off 21) and Ryan Harris (25 off 20), the Brisbane Heat fell short of their target of 178, finishing at 169-7.
