June 21 is the day when the world celebrates International Yoga Day. Introduced by Prime Minister Narendra Modi in 2014, the day has gained major traction across the globe ever since its advent. As the world celebrates this prestigious day in 2023, over the years it has also become a big way of spreading awareness about the importance of Yoga.
Furthermore, the theme for Yoga Day 2023 is ‘Yoga for Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam’ meaning Yoga for the welfare of all in the form of ‘One World-One Family’, emphasising the spirit of Yoga, which unites the world.
As many cricketers took to social media to wish their fans on International Yoga Day, star Indian batter Suryakumar Yadav took to Instagram to give his unique take on the special day as well. It is well established that Suryakumar Yadav is one of the most flamboyant batters in world cricket, his unique shots and aggressive approach towards the game have made him fan favourite.
Taking to Instagram, Suryakumar posted several pictures of his sporty shots and unorthodox play style, and the 32-year-old wrote, "International Yoga Day, it is. Wishing everyone good health & peace."
