The highly-anticipated World Test Championship Final between Australia and India is just a few minutes away and ahead of the summit clash the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) shared pictures from the Indian dressing room at the Oval.
Rohit Sharma-led India will take the field against Australia in hopes of going the distance in the WTC Final after ending up on the losing side in the last edition's final against the Kiwis. BCCI shared pictures of the Indian kit from the dressing room, including a view of the ground from the pavilion.
The walls of the dressing room at the Oval have felt the presence of some iconic names over the years and the picture shared by BCCI saw the walls engraved with signatures of cricketers like Gordon Greenidge, Clive Llyod, Jacques Kallis, Daniel Vettori and Graeme Smith among the several giants of the game.
The titular clash will witness several intriguing battles between some of the best cricketers in the world, featuring the likes of Virat Kohli, Shubman Gill, Rohit Sharma, Steve Smith, David Warner, Marnus Labuschagne, Mohammed Siraj and Mohammed Shami to name a few.
With defending champions New Zealand missing out on the final, a new World Test Champion will emerge after the conclusion of the final at the Oval. While Pat Cummins will be eyeing his first ICC trophy as the Australian captain, Rohit Sharma will hope to end India's barren run in the ICC tournaments by lifting their first trophy since 2013.
The pitch for the blockbuster clash has also been a subject of debate ever since pictures emerged of a greenish surface being prepared at the Oval.
