British-Indian model Sofia Hayat blocked India opener Rohit Sharma on Twitter after having confirmed that they are no longer in a relationship. Hayat is Sharma’s ex-girlfriend, and the two were rumoured to be in a relationship earlier. However, in 2012, she came out and cleared the air to confirm that things have fallen apart between the two.
She had taken to Twitter on October 28 2012, to clarify that her relationship with Rohit had ended. Her tweet read, “Ok, let’s put the rumours to end. Yes, I dated Rohit Sharma. Now it’s over. I wouldn’t date him again. This time I’m looking for a gentleman.”

Although she confirmed that things had come to an end in 2012 with Hitman, she resurfaced in 2014 when Rohit Sharma smashed a record-breaking individual score of 264 in an ODI. In an effort to ‘thank’ her ex, she dedicated her nude photo-shoot to Sharma’s mammoth innings. There was a tweet along with it which read, “Dedicating my nude shoot to Rohit Sharma for his historic score! Well done! This one is for you! Proud day for India!”
Rohit had taken the Sri Lankan bowlers to the cleaners en route his 264 at the iconic Eden Gardens Stadium in Kolkata. He thus became the only man in cricketing history to score two double tons in One Day Internationals.
Despite her 2014 stunt, Sofia has now come out in the open to inform everyone that she is blocking Rohit on Twitter. She posted a snapshot of her phone, where she is about to block the India batsman. She tweeted the photo with a caption that read, “So I had to block him in the end..”
Rohit is currently married to Ritika Sajdeh and is in England for the ongoing ICC Champions Trophy. He very recently captained the Mumbai Indians to a record third IPL title in the tenth edition of the IPL.
