Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma are two of the best players in the limited-overs format for India. Virat is at another level in the Tests but his deputy is matching him in the ODIs and T20Is over the last few years. Though the Indian captain hasn’t played much in the shortest format of the game at the highest level, there is no denying that he still tops the list even then. While the debate of who is the best among the duo is going on forever, the famous model and actress Sofia Hayat has given her views on the debate.
Talking about the statistics, Virat Kohli boasts of an average of 49.25 in the 65 T20 Internationals with 19 half-centuries at an impeccable strike rate of 136.12. He has also amassed 2167 runs in the format with only a few players ahead of Virat. Rohit Sharma, on the other hand, has been part of the Indian team in 93 T20Is and is the highest run-getter overall with 2326 runs to his name.
Moreover, Rohit has also smashed 16 fifty-plus scores at a strike-rate of 138.04 which is a tad better than Virat Kohli at the moment. It will be interesting to see if both will play together in the upcoming series against Australia. Reports suggest that Virat will return while Rohit will finally get some rest ahead of the World Cup.
Who is Sofia Hayat’s pick?
Meanwhile, Sofia Hayat, who was in the news recently for revealing her affair with Rohit Sharma a few years ago, has picked Virat Kohli as the best batsman in the T20Is. One of the fans on Twitter asked her to settle the debate about who is the best among two and the actress was prompt in saying, “Virat lasts long.”
“Definitely Virat…Rohit is smaller in numbers..too quick and Virat lasts longer! The numbers tell it,” Sofia Hayat wrote in a tweet.
