Pakistan’s T20 specialist fast bowler has set his eyes on the second most sought after T20 league in the world i.e, Australia’s Big Bash league. Sohail Tanvir, who has attracted criticism for his lackluster performance lately, is aiming to sign a contract for a franchise in Australian’s premier domestic competition.

The left-arm pacer from Rawalpindi, who came into the reckoning in the international scene with his unorthodox action back in 2007, previously signed a contract for Melbourne Renegades. Tanvir, then, could not represent the men in Reds back in 2015 due to national duties.

Tanvir has been a part of all the major leagues in the world while representing Rajasthan Royals, St. Lucia Zouks, Sylhet Royals and Karachi Kings. In 252 T20 games, Tanvir has taken as many 260 wickets. Also, he brings a two-dimensional aspect in his game with his batting by scoring cameos down the order. Tanvir has amassed over 1834 runs with a strike rate of almost 120.

KFC Big Bash League has been one of the most sought after leagues with growing attendance and popularity every year. Tanvir would like to contribute his bit in the popular league the coming season.

In the recent four-match series in the Carribean, Tanvir has picked up only 3 wickets in the two games he has played so far. Tanvir went ahead and stated that the ones who criticize him must not forget his performance against England and West Indies. He was also pleased with the captaincy of Sarfaraz Ahmed in the recent series. Tanvir remarked that playing under the leadership of young Sarfaraz Ahmed has been a tremendous experience for him

Sohail Tanvir has starred in the recent edition of the Pakistan Super League by taking the most number of wickets for his side Lahore Qalandars. He was also among the top paid players for the Carribean Premier League in this year’s auction. He will represent Guyana Amazon Warrior during the latter half of this year.
