The star Indian all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja delivered an all-around performance in CSK’s previous outing against Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB). Jadeja was at his fluent best in all three facets of the game as he single-handedly took the Super Kings to victory by a massive 69 runs.

The Saurashtra-born smashed a stunning 62 runs in just 28 balls to drive the three-time champions towards a comprehensive total of 191 runs. The same was followed by Jadeja scalping three crucial wickets of Washington Sundar, Glenn Maxwell, and AB de Villiers.

He also initiated a perfect throw to dismiss Dan Christian while fielding. The 32-year-old left his CSK’s teammate Suresh Raina in awe of his capabilities and Raina couldn’t help but lavish praises on the all-rounder. Speaking about Jadeja’s excellence on CSK TV, Suresh Raina reckoned Jadeja deserves to play all three formats of the game.

“He’s been batting really well, he’s been bowling really well, and he has taken 7 or 8 catches till now. Someone like Jadeja has to be in all three formats,” Raina said in a video posted on CSK’s social media handle.

Raina and Jadeja share a good camaraderie with each other and have been playing together in the Indian Premier League since 2011. Raina has been associated with Chennai Super Kings since 2008 while Jadeja joined the contingent in 2011. After CSK received a temporary suspension from the IPL in 2016, Jadeja and Raina played together for the Gujarat Lions.

Thus, Raina has good knowledge about Jadeja’s game and about how he conducts himself on the field. Detailing his opinion on the same, Raina said that the 32-year-old works really hard and enjoys his game. Raina also asserted that it is a privilege for a leader to have a player like Jadeja in their squad.

“He works really hard. I would say he is one of the number one in the world. He has been amazing. I love his attitude, how he throws his body at the ball and he enjoys fielding. I think he is one person who can really change the momentum.

“Whoever (is) the captain in the side really wants him in the team. When things are not in your favor, one catch or one run out can change the momentum. That’s what he has been doing,” Raina concluded.
