The Coronavirus pandemic has led to all the cricketers resorting to social media to stay connected. While some are going live on Instagram, few are posting throwback pictures and taking hilarious jibes at each other. The former England cricketer Kevin Pietersen did the latter on Saturday when he tweeted an old playing picture with MS Dhoni and captioned it with funnily.

Pietersen who has been so active on Twitter amid the lockdown hilariously asked Dhoni in the picture to change the field as scoring runs has been so easy for him. The duo share amazing camaraderie and this isn’t the first time that one of them is taking a friendly dig at the other.

“Hey, MSD, why don’t you put a fielder over there for me? Scoring runs against you guys is so easy…!” Kevin Pietersen’s tweet read.

When anyone messes with MS Dhoni, how come his IPL franchise Chennai Super Kings (CSK) take a back seat? They jumped into the conversation and came up with an extremely funny reply flaunting their Thala’s amazing skills behind the wickets.

CSK’s official Twitter handle also posted an old picture of Kevin Pietersen getting stumped by Dhoni stating that the fielder aren’t needed sometimes to get him out. “But sometimes you don’t need fielders!” their reply read. It will be interesting to see if the 39-year-old has any answer to this.

Kevin Pietersen picks MS Dhoni as greatest captain ever

Amidst all this fun banter, on a serious note, Kevin Pietersen feels it is tough to go beyond MS Dhoni when it comes to picking the greatest captain ever. According to the former, the way the veteran wicketkeeper-batsman led team India and the CSK with the weight of expectations is absolutely impeccable and very few would do it with aplomb.

“It will be very difficult just with the weight of expectation to go against MS Dhoni because of what everybody expects from him, how he has to live his life and what he has been through captaining India and then captaining the CSK,” Pietersen said while speaking in Star Sports’ Cricket Connected.
