Cricketers like Dwayne Bravo and Virat Kohli have often garnered admiration for their fluid dancing skills. This time around, it was Brett Lee and Darren Sammy who got a dance lesson from popular Hindi film actors, Kareena Kapoor Khan and Sonam Kapoor. The fun-filled dance segment was a part of the pre-match show of the Indian Premier League (IPL) match on Friday (May 25).

Sammy and Lee, who’ve both played in the IPL extensively, are currently active members of the commentary team in the ongoing season of the tournament. Along with that, they’re also a part of the broadcaster’s analytical pre and post-match analytical show, “Dugout”. The two glamorous and talented actors, on their part, were on the show to promote their upcoming film.

Darren Sammy and Brett Lee struggle to get their dance moves right

Sonam and Kareena, along with actors Swara Bhaskar and Shikha Talsania were on the pre-match show of the Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) versus the Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) match to promote their upcoming movie venture, ‘Veere Di Wedding’. While the actors tried their best to impart their dancing knowledge onto the cricketers, Sammy and Lee were visibly struggling to get the moves right and ended up performing goofy steps instead.

The celebrities tried grooving to the tunes of ‘Tareefan’ from ‘Veere Di Wedding’. Sonam Kapoor had a particularly difficult job at hand as Sammy found it hard to catch up on the swift dance steps. Bhaskar and Talsania, on the other hand, tried their best to teach Lee some ‘bhangra’ steps. Kareena Kapoor Khan chose to play the audience the entire time, adding humour to the segment with her witty quips.

The IPL finals are just a game away, with Chennai Super Kings (CSK) already having reached the finals resoundingly. The second qualifier to be held on Friday at the Eden Gardens, Kolkata will find KKR and SRH face off against each other. While both teams are equally powerful and well-balanced, it’s going to be a battle of nerves and the steadier side is sure to emerge victorious in such a pressure scenario.
