MS Dhoni is arguably one of the best wicket-keepers that India has ever produced in its cricket history, who holds several records under his keeping corner. However, Sourav Ganguly doesn’t feel the same, who didn’t include the Ranchi boy in his fantasy team and fans will be shocked on which player was preferred ahead of Dhoni.

Sourav Ganguly, the BCCI President is the brand ambassador of My11Circle that is a fantasy cricket platform. He has been spotted endorsing in the advertisement related to this gaming app on televisions. Moreover, there is a lot of craze among the fans about playing it.

Recently in an event on Friday, Sourav Ganguly was asked to create his fantasy team for the upcoming IPL including him in the same. He picked an interesting squad that was a good combination of young and experienced cricketers. But, one thing that hogged the sight of the fans was the absence of Dhoni.

However, soon a fan asked Ganguly that why he didn’t pick the MS Dhoni and preferred Pant in his fantasy side. In reply to it, the former said that it is just for fun and entertainment and the Delhiite is a young wicketkeeper-batsman, who is an exciting player to watch. BCCI President also recited that he doesn’t want any debate over it, “It’s purely for fun, to entertain all. Pant is a young wicketkeeper-batsman. I don’t want any debate for it,” Sourav Ganguly said as quoted by Extra Time.

The question of the fan was quite valid because Dhoni is one of the best skipper as well as wicket-keeper in the history of IPL. He has helped Chennai Super Kings in winning three IPL trophies(2010, 2011 and 2018) along with two Champions League (2010 and 2014). Moreover, under his leadership, CSK is the only team to qualify into the playoffs in every season of the Indian Premier League in which they have so far featured.
