South Africa Under-19s continue their embarrassment in the home Youth ODI series against Pakistan Under-19s as they lost for the 5th consecutive time. They rested their captain Bryce Parson in the previous game and ended up losing by the biggest margin of all five matches so far. However, their bowling coach Van Noordwyk is still hopeful and confident about his team bouncing back in the last two matches.

In the previous game, Irfan Niazi’s 122-run knock played a key role in pushing Pakistan to their 2nd consecutive 300+ total. Jonathan Bird played a lone hand in the chase scoring 100 off 95 deliveries with 11 fours and three maximums but Saffers were bundled out for only 184 in 38.4 overs. Bird was also the most economical bowler for his team conceding only 33 runs in ten overs and broke the stand between Niazi and skipper Rohail Nazir.

Pitch Condition/Report:

The Durban’s Chatsworth Stadium hosted the first game of this series and will host the remaining two matches. The Chatsworth Stadium is the multi-purpose stadium and pitches here will tend to be on the slower side. The first ODI was an example for it as Pakistan sneaked it a 17-run win after posting 226/9.

South Africa Under-19s rested their skipper and also made a couple of changes. The line-ups announcement will confirm if leaving out Bryce Parsons was only to give someone an opportunity or he was actually dropped.

Probable Winners:

Pakistan U19s will once again start as favourites and are expected to make it 6-0 unless a special effort from the hosts wins them the game.
