The ongoing India tour of South Africa is proving to be a very closely contested affair. Hence, the fans have been eagerly waiting for the matches. Sony Pictures, the official broadcasters, have the television telecast rights in India. However, they have been faltering quite a lot in showing up the second ODI between the two sides. The frequent interruptions in the ongoing fixture has not pleased the cricket fans.
The fans lashed out at Sony Pictures on the social media sites for their interrupted service on the day. Commenting on the series and the backdrop, South Africa has been a very formidable side at home in the last couple of years. They have absolutely outplayed the oppositions in their home conditions – be it a strong Australian side or a young Bangladeshi side. In the Test series of the India’s tour to the South Africa, the hosts sealed the series 2-1.
Unlike the other oppositions of the recent past, the Indian team came very close in all the matches and eventually had a consolation win at the Wanderers in Johannesburg. They arrived in to the ODI series with the same confidence of the Jo’burg win. Playing at Durban, the visitors had to defy history. They managed to do so and registered their first ever win in an ODI in Durban.
Also, they ended the 17-match winning streak of South Africa in their home conditions. With a 1-0 lead in the six-match ODI series, the Indian team arrived in Centurion for the second ODI. Indian captain Virat Kohli won the toss and opted to bowl first in the match. The second ODI promises to be a very closely contested affair again.
Albeit the South African team is dented with injuries to two of their prime batsmen – AB de Villiers and Faf du Plessis – the hosts still happen to be a strong unit in their home conditions. With such high stakes on the line, the fans kept a close eye on the game. And in such a situation, the broadcasters Sony Pictures failed to deliver good service. Hope the things will improve as the match progresses further.
Here is how the fans lashed out at Sony Pictures for their poor service:

What the hell s wrong with Sony Ten channels @SPN_Cricket @SonyTV @SPNSportsIndia . All the Indian sports broadcasters are money grabbing scums who are least bothered about quality of telecast. #SAvIND #FreedomSeries
