South Africa choked with the bat in the first T20I against Sri Lanka. In what should have been a cakewalk for the home team, the Proteas ended up subjecting themselves to immense pressure. It seemed as if the batsmen got slightly over-complacent and thus had to put in the hard strides to register a win. It all boiled down to the ‘super over’ where David Miller and Imran Tahir helped the hosts register an easy win.

Things are only set to get worse for the home team in the absence of regular skipper Faf du Plessis and Quinton de Kock. The hosts would be captained by JP Duminy. Furthermore, they have got a few injury woes heading into the second T20I. The players will have to be at their best in the upcoming game as Sri Lanka would have drawn a lot of confidence from their performance in the 1st T20I.

Pitch and Conditions

The second T20I will be played at the SuperSport Park in Centurion. There will be a lot of bounce on offer for the bowlers and the ball is expected to come onto the bat nicely.
