South African speedster Dale Steyn is one of the most violent fast bowlers of the generation who is feared by most batsmen. The red hot fast bowler’s stormy pace have rattled countless stumps leaving the greatest of batsmen clueless. It is not often that you see an aggressive bowler like Steyn take out time to praise a fellow cricketer about the same. The Protea spearhead took to Twitter to praise Indian skipper Virat Kohli on the aggression with which he plays the game of cricket.

Kohli has always been a cricketer with fire in his belly who does not back off from taking the game to the bowlers. The right-handed batsman is enjoying the best form his career at the moment and the biggest of bowlers seems like a cakewalk in front of him. The 28 year has adopted a similar style when it comes to captaincy as well.

His style of leading the team differs a lot from Mahendra Singh Dhoni as he prefers to be attacking on every occasion. Kohli does not mind giving away a handful of runs if it brings him a crucial wicket while Dhoni preferred to hold on and wait for the right moment. Kohli wants to instil the attitude into the Indian team similar to that of the legendary Australian side under Steve Waugh.

The Australians at that point of time  not only defeated the opponents physically but also used to break them down mentally. Virat Kohli possesses an attitude exactly of that type because he wants to win and hates losing. We can see his aggression when we witness a fall of a wicket. Running around the field, screaming in anger mixed with happiness, shutting down opponents by pointing finger on the lips, Kohli has done it all.

It is not a surprise that Dale Steyn would be impressed by a player who carries this kind of hunger to win and passion for the game of cricket. The bowler who has 417 Test wickets and 180 in the One Day Internationals tweeted “Love Virat’s aggression. Imagine if he was a fast bowler”.

The tweet completely defines the impact Virat Kohli has had on cricketers all over the world in a short period of time and we can hope that the Royal Challengers Bangalore batsman can keep it going.
