South Africa has named an unchanged squad for the last 2 Tests of the home series against England. AB de Villiers will lead both teams, after taking over as Test captain from Hashim Amla, who resigned as captain after the drawn second Test against England at Newlands.  For the ODI series, left-arm spinner Aaron Phangiso has been dropped, while Rilee Rossouw has been included after having recovered from an injury that kept him out of the tour of India.

“We were highly encouraged by the performance put up by the Proteas at Newlands. The very fact that they were nearly able to force a win after conceding 600 runs on the first innings speaks volumes for the character of this group of players. We feel we have all our bases covered and also the options that will enable the team to exploit whatever conditions they encounter at the Wanderers Stadium and at SuperSport Park,” CSA selection convener Linda Zondi.

The remaining Tests will be played in this month with the 3rd match starting on the 14th in Johannesburg while the final one will be played in Centurion starting on 22nd. The 5-match ODI series will begin on 3rd February in Bloemfontein and end with the final match in Cape Town on 14th of next month.
