Rangana Herath stayed in Bangladesh despite political turmoil in Sri Lanka

It must be noted that the veteran left-arm spinner decided to stay with the Bangladesh camp during the home series against Sri Lanka, despite the current economic crisis in his country. However, Herath has now decided to take leave. “Herath will not be available in the West Indies tour as he will be with his family,” team director Mahmud confirmed to Cricbuzz.

The tour will start from the longest format of the game with the first Test to be played in Antigua on June 16. The second Test match is slated to start on June 24 in St Lucia. After the Test series, the Men in Maroon will take on Bangladesh in three T20Is starting from July 2 with the final T20I to be played in Guyana on July 7.  The tour will end after the three-match ODI series which will start on July 10.
