Shanthakumaran Sreesanth releases a bouncer to the BCCI on Twitter

Former Indian international Shanthakumaran Sreesanth has a message for the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI). The Kerala High Court recently quashed the life -ban on the dramatic pace bowler which was imposed by the BCCI disciplinary committee after Sreesanth was found guilty of a spot fixing scandal during the 2013 IPL. Though he was acquitted of the case in the year of 2015 by a New Delhi High Court, BCCI did not remove the life-ban on him.

The Kerala High Court has asked the BCCI to take off the ban and not take the matter to a higher court as the bowler was found innocent in 2015. The BCCI, however, remains firm on their decision and plans to take the matter to the Supreme Court in the near future. Responding to the decision, Sreesanth has opened up in front of the BCCI claiming his rights. The talented swing bowler took to the popular social media platform, Twitter, to make his intentions clear.

Sreesanth’s tweet:

In his tweet, the Kerala-born bowler mentioned that he is not kneeling down in front of the board to beg but he is asking for what he deserves. And that is his livelihood. Sreesanth ended his tweet with a bold statement saying that he will definitely play again and the BCCI won’t be able to stop him because they are not God.

His tweet read “@bcci I’m not begging ,I’m asking to give my livelihood back .its my right. U guys are not above God. I will play again..”

The bowler was banned in the year of 2013 when he was a part of the Rajasthan Royal’s franchise along with three other players for a spot fixing case. Sreesanth had great potential to make his big but was unfortunate enough to get involved in a major scandal. The bowler previously stated that he takes inspiration from Mohammad Amir who suffered a similar fate but made a storming comeback into the national team.
