Parthiv Patel, the Indian player, was the opening batter and the wicket-keeper of the newly formed team of Sunrisers Hyderabad. He was a part of three teams since the inaugural IPL and he was retained by SRH from Deccan Chargers after its termination.

The left-handed batter was bowled in by Ashok Dinda for 19 runs in the first match. He played the whole season for them and hit 294 runs at a strike rate of 115.29.

The “pocket dynamo” as he is called fondly, played the IPL last in 2019 and retired from all forms of cricket in 2020 at an age of 35. He holds the position of a talent scout for the Mumbai Indians side and is a commentator in the Hindi panel of Star Sports.
