Team India aims to complete a tour whitewash against Sri Lanka which will be the first ever instance in International cricket history on a tour played across all the three formats. Sri Lanka, on the other hand, will be looking to win at least this one-off T20I and settle with some hope after suffering whitewashes in both Test and ODI series.

Here we look at the key numbers and stats ahead of the game.

6.000 – India’s win-loss ratio in Sri Lanka is the 3rd best for any team in a country in T20Is. (Min: 5 matches) India have a win-loss ratio of 10.000 in Bangladesh as they won 10 out of the 11 matches they played in the country and lost just one. Pakistan won all the six T20I they played in Zimbabwe.

6.000 – India’s win-loss ratio in the T20I format in Sri Lanka is by far the best for any team. Among the teams who played more than one T20I in Sri Lanka, Pakistan’s win-loss ratio of 2.666 is the next best to India. Pakistan won eight T20Is and lost three while India won six out of seven T20Is in Sri Lanka and lost once.

10 – Number of times Sri Lanka and India have faced each other in T20Is. Only MS Dhoni and Suresh Raina were part of all the ten SL-IND T20I matches.

15.28 – Rohit Sharma’s batting average against Sri Lanka in T20Is. His average is the lowest for any Indian against an opposition in T20Is. (Min: 100 runs) He scored 107 runs against them in seven innings so far.

26 – Number of wickets Bhuvneshwar Kumar has taken in 15 Twenty20s he has played in 2017. He went wicket less in only three games while Bhuvi picked up only one wicket in three of the remaining 12 games. In nine matches, Bhuvneshwar pulled up two or more wickets including his career best figures of 5/19.

50 – The Sri Lanka-India T20I will be Virat Kohli’s 50th T20I game. He will be the 5th Indian to feature in 50 T20I matches.

100.5 – Virat Kohli’s batting average in T20Is against Sri Lanka. He has scored 201 runs in three matches against them having scored a fifty in each innings.

992 – Danushka Gunathilaka’s run tally in Twenty20 cricket. He needs eight more runs to complete 1000 runs in this format.

1960 – Chamara Kapugedara has scored 1960 runs in his Twenty20 career so far. Only six Sri Lankan players have aggregated more than 2000 runs in T20 format.
