Zimbabwe failed to grab their chances on the final day after reducing the home side Sri Lanka to 203/5 having dismissed the settled pair Kusal Mendis and Angelo Mathews in the first hour. But a century stand between Niroshan Dickwella and Asela Gunaratne took the game away from the visitors as the hosts cruised to their highest successful run-chase in Test cricket with 4 wickets in hand.

1 – Graeme Cremer is the first Zimbabwe captain to bag 4-wicket hauls in both the innings of a Test match. He is the 5th Zimbabwe player over to bag 4-fers in both innings of a match.

2 – Dinesh Chandimal is now the 2nd Sri Lankan to win his first match as captain in all the 3 formats after Mahela Jayawardene. Overall, he is the 7th such captain.
