Sri Lanka are riding high on the victory in the series opener against Bangladesh on Friday. With a quick turnaround between the two matches, the hosts will be eager to seal the series and win their first ODI bilateral contest at home since 2016. Bangladesh missed their talisman Shakib Al Hasan in the first match and their batsmen will have to put up an improved show to make a comeback.

Sri Lanka will definitely miss their veteran Lasith Malinga who bid adieu to ODI cricket after the first game. He returned with the figures of 3/38 and other bowlers should make amends now quickly in order to win the series on Sunday itself. For Bangladesh, their bowlers should keep getting breakthroughs to keep an eye on the run-scoring.

Dasun Shanaka has replaced Malinga in the squad for the last two matches. Though it remains to be seen if Sri Lanka will opt for his services or they include a specialist bowler. As far as Bangladesh is concerned, they might think of including Taskin Ahmed in the XI for either Shafiul Islam or Rubel Hossain.

Match Details:

The second ODI of the three-match series between Sri Lanka and Bangladesh will be played at R Premadasa Stadium in Colombo.

The match starts at 2:30 PM local time (2:30 PM IST) (9:00 AM GMT). This game will be live on Sony Six in India. Live streaming will be available on Sony LIV.

Pitch Condition/Report:

As expected, the surface at R Premadasa Stadium was a brilliant one for batting. The team batting first benefitted once again and the same will most likely happen in the second game as well. Moreover, if the same pitch used for the series opener will be under the action, the scores could decrease and batting second will be extremely tough.
