Sri Lanka has performed exceptionally in the three-match ODI series thus far. The Islanders are 2-0 up and would be eyeing a series whitewash when they face Bangladesh in the third and final ODI in Colombo. The Lankan bowlers gave their team early breakthroughs in both the encounters. Even their batting has been up to the mark with the likes of Avishka Fernando and Kusal Perera firing.

The Tigers, on the contrary, have looked rusty without their premier all-rounder Shakib Al Hasan. Barring Mushfiqur Rahim and Sabbir Rahman, none of the batters have stepped up. Tamim Iqbal is having a nightmare, both as the skipper and batsman. Even Mahmudullah hasn’t lived up to potentially being a senior player. The visitors have nothing, but pride to play for in the last encounter.

Match Details:

The third ODI of the three-match series between Sri Lanka and Bangladesh will be played at R Premadasa Stadium in Colombo.

The match starts at 2:30 PM local time (2:30 PM IST) (9:00 AM GMT). This game will be live on Sony Six in India. Live streaming will be available on Sony LIV.

Pitch Condition/Report:

The pitch in the previous game at the same venue turned out to be on the slower side. The spinners got a lot of assistance and got a prodigious turn from the surface. But the likes of Rahim and Avishka showed that run-making isn’t that tough even on a slow wicket. Teams are likely to bat first as the deck may get slower as the game progresses. The hosts won’t mind chasing as well.
