Sri Lankan veteran Kumar Sangakkara at the top of the ICC Test Ranking: The International Cricket Council (ICC) has released the latest ICC Test ranking following the second test match between England and West Indies. In the latest ranking Sri Lankan veteran Kumar Sangakkara continues his stay at the top of the ICC Test Batsmen’s ranking. While AB de Villiers and Hashim Amla the South African’s follow him up at the second and third position.
England top order batman Joe Root and middle order batsman Gary Ballance following strong batting performance against West Indies in the second test have now scaled career best ICC ranks. Root with a match winning knock of 182 not out improved 5 places in the table and is now positioned at number 5. While Ballance for his dual half centuries 77 and 81 not out gained five ranks and is at the 17th position.

Australia’s Steve Smith is still at the 4th place on the back of some stupendous knocks he played against India this summer. In other big names Indian test skipper Virat Kohli is the best ranked Indian batsman at number 12.
