IPL8 – Starc, Aaron and Gayle muscle RCB to a dominating win over DD at the Kotla: Royal Challengers Bangalore cruised to an easy 10 wicket win against Delhi Daredevils at the Ferozeshah Kotla stadium courtesy some dominant performance from their bowlers and openers. With this win, Bangalore move to the fourth position with six points.

Put into bat, Daredevils got off to a shaky start as Mitchell Starc had Shreyas Iyer in the very first over of the match before JP Duminy and Mayank Agarwal revived the innings. In-form Delhi skipper Duminy looked good against Starc and Varun Aaron but lost his wicket to David Wiese for 13. In the next over, Varun Aaron came back and dismissed Yuvraj Singh caught behind for 2 and Angelo Mathews caught at square-leg for 0. Delhi were reduced to 39-4 in the eighth over.

Kedar Jadhav and Mayank Agarwal put on a 28 run partnership for the fifth wicket before Mayank was stumped off Iqbal Abdulla. Nathan Coulter-Nile too didn’t last long as he was trapped plumb in front by Wiese. Starc came back for his second spell and cleaned up Amit Mishra and Shahbaz Nadeem before Delhi’s hopes of crossing 100 was dashed when Jadhav was caught by Starc off Harshal Patel for 33. Delhi were bundled out for just 95 in 18.3 overs.

Chasing 96, Bangalore started off with a bang as Chris Gayle was in a destructive mood in his 200^th T20 game. He smashed each and every bowler all over the park and reached his fifty. Bangalore finished off the things in a hurry as they reached the target in just 10.3 overs. Gayle was unbeaten on 62 off 40 balls with 6 fours and 4 sixes while Virat Kohli was not-out on 35 off 23 balls.

Varun Aaron was named the Man of the match. With this win, Bangalore have beaten Delhi in their eighth consecutive match in IPL.
