'Started from the bottom now we're here' - Jasprit Bumrah shares a collage with a heartfelt message

As fans, we get gobsmacked when we see someone transcending the point of what can be achieved on the field. We play it on loop. We are fascinated by him/her and like many others think how lucky he/she is when he basking in all the glory, fame and of-course on financially.

We secretly wish we’d been there in place of him/her! We quickly brand them as overnight success or an overnight sensation. What we do not realize is that behind the making of that overnight sensation is years of blood, sweat, and tear of not only the star but also his entire family. There are years of sacrifice that have gone into making the version that you are fascinated with. 

This is why you will always see successful sports personalities, despite having achieved everything in the game, when asked about their journey, never fail to reminisce about their struggle and the people who were a part of the process.  

It has been a surreal journey for Jasprit Bumrah

India’s fast bowling superstar, Bumrah posting a collage of the past and his current phase vindicates the aforementioned fact to the hilt. The Indian fast bowling sensation, who is currently recuperating from a lower-back stress fracture took to Twitter today to post a collage of him being presented with a memento during an Inter-school tournament and then many years later while playing for India.

Posting the collage, Bumrah- the No.1 ranked ODI bowler in the world– “Started from the bottom now we’re here.” It has been a surreal journey for Jasprit Bumrah. From being called-up to the Mumbai Indians set-up after he’d impressed the then Coach John Wright with his deadly yorkers to then going on to becoming the heartbeat of the Indian bowling unit across the three formats of the game, its been one hell of a ride; one that is expected to continue for a considerable period of time.
