South Africa have finally managed to register a Test win under their belt after almost a gap of a year after beating England in the 4th Test match at Centurion by 280 runs on 5th day due to Kagiso Rabada’s stunning performance in the 2nd innings as he picked up six wickets in the 2nd innings so he picked up total 13 wickets in the Test match which is most by any South African bowler against England in any Test match apart from HJ Tayfield who had also picked up 13 wickets against England in a Test match once. However, South Africa lost the series by 2-1 but there were many positives for them in the series for example Hashim Amla’s returning into the form, Rabada and Morkel’s bowling and Q de Kock’s performance in the last Test match etc.
For England, the last Test match was not up to their standards it is because of their batting collapse, they lost the Test match by 280 runs. England can take many positives from the series as Stokes and Bairstow’s consistency in their performances as Test players, Stuart Broad’s bowling along with Moeen Ali’s day by day improvement as a Test player etc. So, at the end of the series, we can say that we had witnessed fascinating contest between bat and ball and the team who played better named England won the series by 2-1.
