Chris Gayle helped Rangpur Riders to win the eliminator game single-handedly with an unbeaten 126-run knock off just 51 balls while chasing a target of 168. Gayle struck 14 sixes and six fours during his breathtaking innings as Rangpur chased down the target in 15.2 overs. His team will now face the loser of the 1st Qualifier game between Comilla Victorians and Dhaka Dynamites in the 2nd Qualifier on Sunday.

4 – Gayle’s century in this game is his 4th in the history of Bangladesh Premier League. Six other players have scored a hundred each in this format. His 126* is now the highest individual score in BPL surpassing Sabbir Rahman’s 122 for Rajshahi Kings against Barisal Bulls in 2016.


14 – Number of sixes Chris Gayle hit during this innings. These are the most by any player in a single innings in BPL. Chris Gayle once hit 12 sixes, 11 sixes and 10 sixes in an innings in BPL while no one else managed to hit more than nine sixes in a BPL innings even once.


14 – This was the 14th time where Gayle has hit ten and more sixes in a Twenty20 inning. No other player has hit ten and more sixes in an innings more than twice. Brendon McCullum, Dasun Shanaka and Evin Lewis are the only others with 10+ sixes in a T20 innings on two different occasions.

801 – Chris Gayle became the first player to hit 800 sixes in Twenty20 history with the 2nd best being Kieron Pollard (506 sixes). Gayle’s 13th six of this game was his 800th in the T20 format.
