India ‘A’ captain Manish Pandey led his side to victory against South Africa ‘A’ in their last league match of the ongoing Triangular series at Pretoria which also includes Afghanistan ‘A’ as the third team. Manish remained unbeaten on 93 during his team’s chase of 267 to guide them to a 1-wicket win. In this process, he became only the third player to complete 1000 runs in List A cricket while playing for India ‘A’.
Excluding the domestic tournaments; Challenger Trophy and Deodhar Trophy which include a team named India A, Pandey has aggregated a total of 1064 runs in the 50-over professional cricket while playing for India’s A side. During this innings, Pandey went past Shikhar Dhawan’s tally of 1004 runs and stands only behind Gautam Gambhir.

The half century in the game was 6th fifty for Pandey in the India ‘A’ jersey and he also has 3 centuries for the A side in the List A format.
