Former Indian skipper MS Dhoni is all set to enter the record books yet again. He is on the verge of becoming the player with most catches in the shortest format of the game. After having played 260 T20 matches, Dhoni has a total of 122 catches to his name at the moment, as on May 10, 2017. RPS will be taking on the Delhi Daredevils in the match 52 of the season at Delhi. Talking about the other men approaching the milestone, there is Dinesh Karthik with 120 catches to his name. He will have his opportunity to breach Sangakkara’s tally of 123 catches in the match against Delhi Daredevils too. Karthik is playing for the Gujarat Lions in the ongoing edition of the IPL. Sunrisers Hyderabad wicket-keeper Naman Ojha also finds his name in the list at the fifth spot.
Pakistani wicket-keeper Kamran Akmal has 110 catches to his name in the shortest format of the tournament in the 197 matches that he has played. Considering the number of stumpings done, Kamran has the most number of stumping to his name. He has inflicted a total of 90 stumpings in his T20 career. MS Dhoni comes in next in the stumpings list with a total of 63 stumpings to name.
The wicket-keeping prowess of Dhoni needs no introduction. He has been one of the best wicket-keepers in the world cricket in this generation of the game.
