Ravichandran Ashwin bagged yet another record in Test cricket as he became the 2nd fastest to the 200 wickets milestone in the longest format of the game. Ashwin, playing in his career’s 37th Test at Kanpur vs New Zealand, completed 200 wickets in Test cricket with the wicket of New Zealand skipper Kane Williamson on day 4. Thus he stood 2nd on the list of quickest to 200 Test wickets only behind Australia Clarrie Grimmett, who took in 36 Tests.

This milestone puts him ahead of some of the great names in the cricketing history. By reaching the 200 wickets in just his 37 Test, He has now overtaken the likes of Dennis Lillee, Waqar Younis, Dale Steyn and Shane Warne. All of these legends took more number of matches than Ashwin to achieve this feat during their career.
