Sohail Tanvir produced one of the greatest ever bowling performances in the Twenty20 history as the left-arm pacer bagged five wickets for just three runs in his four overs in the Caribbean Premier League (CPL) game on Tuesday. Tanvir played the lead role in his team Guyana Amazon Warriors’ 99-run win against Barbados Tridents, who were bowled out for just 59.
After being put into bat by the home team, Guyana Amazon Warriors posted 158/8 in their 20 overs with no big contribution from a single batsman. Defending a total, Tanvir started off by sending back Kane Williamson for a duck in his first over and Dwayne Smith in his next. The Pakistan pacer removed Eoin Morgan and Kieron Pollard in the first two balls of his third over to leave the Barbados Tridents reeling at 13/5.
He returned for his 4th over later on and dismissed his compatriot Wahab Riaz for a duck to bag his 2nd 5-wicket haul in Twenty20s.
