Virat Kohli took the cricketing world by storm announcing his decision to step down as India’s captain in T20Is after the upcoming T20 World Cup. He has been leading India in all formats for a lot of years now, however, the 32-year-old is keen on concentrating leading the team in Tests and ODIs.
The Men in Blue did exceptionally well in the shortest format under Kohli’s captaincy and the team will be hoping to win the World Cup in his last T20I assignment as the skipper. Kohli also created a lot of records while at the helm in T20 cricket and would be looking to lead his country to the elusive trophy before bidding adieu to the captaincy in the format.
