Younis Khan without a doubt was the one of the greatest ever player to play the Test cricket. The Pakistani batting legend has held almost all top batting records in the Test cricket for his country. The 38-year-old has scored over 10,000 runs and 34 centuries in this format and is well known for his 4th innings record.

He along with Misbah-ul-Haq, one of the best captains Pakistan ever had bid farewell with the country’s first ever Test series win in West Indies. Here we look at some of Younis Khan’s records and achievements in the longest format of the game.

5 – Number of centuries Younis scored in the 4th innings in Test cricket; the most by any player in 4th innings of Test format.

5 – Number of players including Younis Khan who have scored more centuries than fifties in their Test career. Younis has scored 34 centuries and 33 fifties in his Test career. Don Bradman, Matthew Hayden, Michael Clarke and Mohammad Azharuddin are the others to have scored more hundred than fifties in Tests.

11 – Number of countries in which Younis Khan has scored a century in Test cricket. He is the only player to have scored centuries in 11 different nations.

34 – Number of centuries Younis has scored in Test cricket; the most by any Pakistan player and the joint 6th most by any player in this format.

75.89 – His Test average in winning cause; the 3rd best for any player in Test wins. (Min: 4000 runs) Younis has scored 4857 runs in wins including 19 centuries.

118 – Number of Test matches he played; the 3rd most by any Pakistan player. He was a part of 46 wins, the 2nd most by any Pakistani.

139 – Number of catches Younis Khan has taken in Test cricket, the only player from Pakistan to take 100 catches as a fielder in Tests. Only 11 players overall have taken more catches as fielders in this format.

313 – His highest individual score in Tests is 313 vs Sri Lanka at Karachi in 2009; the 3rd highest individual score in Test cricket by a Pakistan player.

3213 – Partnership runs between Younis and Misbah-ul-Haq pair in Test cricket; the highest for any pair from Pakistan. Their 15 century stands in this format is also the most for any Pakistani pair with the next best been 10-century stands.

10099 – Runs scored by Younis Khan in Test cricket. He is the only Pakistan player and the 13th overall to score 10,000 runs in Test cricket.
