The on-field action between India and Australia at Bengaluru bagged all the headlines. The Indians not only dramatically turned things around on the Aussies on the field but off the field as well. Former Indian cricketer Sunil Gavaskar was commentating with former Australian skipper Michael Clarke when the former took a moment to troll the latter. During the course of the day’s play, Clarke tried being cheeky in the comm box as he aimed to hit the Indian batsmen with his words.

Batting on the day 4 track was certainly not an easy task to do in Bengaluru and the Indian batsmen lost wickets in a flurry in the morning session. Aussie pacers Josh Hazlewood and Mitchell Starc gave India twin blows each early on day 4 to bring the game back in Australia’s favor. However, Ishant Sharma – the number eleven batsman – showed great resistance with the bat and supported Wriddhiman Saha for a crucial last wicket stand.

It was just then when Michael Clarke remarked that had Brett Lee been in the Australian team, he would have finished the stay of Ishant in very short time. Clarke added that Lee is in the commentary box too and mocked if they could give him a chance.

“If Brett Lee is in the squad, he will not let Ishant to face more balls. Lee is here only, shall we give him a chance,” quipped Clarke.

Sunil Gavaskar, who was patiently listening to all this time, was quick to come in with a witty reply. Gavaskar responded back saying that even Rahul Dravid is just 10 km away from the stadium. And if Dravid comes out to bat, he will surely not let Brett Lee bowl his lines with ease.

“But if Dravid is in the squad, he will not let Brett Lee to bowl more balls. Dravid’s home is just 10 km away from the stadium. Should I Call him?” asked Sunil Gavaskar. Well, that reply was pure gold from the former cricketer for sure!
