Sunil Gavaskar’s question to Virat Kohli triggers controversy: People in social media accused former Indian captain and commentator Sunil Gavaskar for his act of asking Royal Challengers Bangalore skipper Virat Kohli about Anuskha Sharma during the toss in their first match against the Kolkata Knight Riders at the Eden Gardens last Saturday. Before allowing Virat let go for the toss, Gavaskar asked Is she here referring to his Bollywood actress girlfriend Anuskha Sharma for which the Indian vice-captain replied Yes she would be which received a huge cheers from the crowd.

This happened just a day after Kohli lashed out at the Indian media for blaming Anuskha for his performance in the Semi-Finals of the 2015 World Cup, in which India lost to the eventual Champions Australia at the SCG.

The stuff that happened after the World cup semifinal, the way people reacted towards my personal life and Anushka in particular, was really disrespectful. I want put this out in public because at the human level I was really hurt and wanted to express that for a quite a long time, Kohli said on the eve of the match against Kolkata Knight Riders.

Gavaskar was criticized heavily for the question he put to Virat Kohli at the toss.
