Preview:

The defending champions Combined Campuses and Colleges started off the Super50 Cup with a huge 198-run defeat against the Leeward Islands. However, they bounced back strongly by getting better of the Barbados team. They will now take on Jamaican team who suffered defeats in their first two matches. Barbados thumped Jamaica by 75 runs on the 2nd day of the tournament while the Leeward Islands comfortably chased down the total of 262 that the Jamaica team posted on Sunday.

Weather Condition/Report:

There is no rain predicted for Warner Park on Tuesday and moreover, the conditions are expected to be dry without any clouds.

Pitch Condition/Report:

Warner Park has been easily the best batting surface in the Super50 at least during the first innings. At least 250 runs will be scored by the teams batting first and most of them successfully defended. The track gets slowed down and scoring big becomes difficult in the 2nd innings.

Average 1st inning score: 280 (Last nine List A matches)

Record of chasing teams: Won – 2, Lost – 7

Team News:

Kyle Corbin was absent hurt from batting in the first match.

Carlos Brathwaite did not play the first two games.

Expert Advice:

Not many players present in the batsmen’s category have done well for the CCC. As a result, the minimum requirement of three players from that category has to be filled with Jamaica’s batters. Interestingly, the CCC’s top-order batsman Akshaya Persaud is listed as a bowler. Hence, more players from CCC have to be picked in the bowlers’ category.

Probable Winners:

Jamaica is expected to register their first win of the tournament.
