The connection between Bollywood and cricket is decades old. MAK Pataudi, Mohammad Azharuddin, Harbhajan Singh, Yuvraj Singh, Virat Kohli are some of the cricketers who married Bollywood divas. Recently, Hardik Pandya was engaged to Bollywood diva Natasa Stankovic while KL Rahul is also linked to Athiya Shetty.

It would not be very wrong to say that at one stage or another, almost every big name in Indian cricket has been linked to actresses. Well, Suresh Raina is an exception. The out-of-favor India batsman is not married to a Bollywood actress and was not linked to them either but he too has a crush on an actress. The southpaw recently revealed his crush on an episode of ‘Zing Game On’, where he talked about cricket, his love for music, celebrity crush, and much more.

The cricket star revealed that he has a long-standing crush on the stunning Sonali Bendre. Not only that, but Raina also revealed how he wished to go on a date with her during his college days. He was also in for a pleasant surprise when the actress sent him a special message. During the interview, he spoke about his 4-year-old daughter too and how he considers her as his biggest support.

“My daughter is my biggest support. Her arrival has changed all our lives. The little moments that I share with her are the most precious. Since day one, she has been by my side. She is my travel buddy and also my favourite gym buddy. She accompanies me and wife on our workouts, cycles with us, and even shops for her food,” Raina told host of the show Karan Wahi.

Suresh Raina all set to return

Suresh Raina is all set to return to competitive cricket next month. The star batsman has not played any competitive game since the last IPL due to a left knee injury. Raina underwent knee surgery in August and has now fully recovered. He will be seen in action for Chennai Super Kings in the upcoming season of IPL which gets underway on March 29.

Super Kings will take on defending champions Mumbai Indians in the tournament opener.
