Sushant Singh Rajput reveals about the inspiration drawn from Sachin Tendulkar

Sushant Singh Rajput recently came out and revealed about the inspiration he had drawn from Sachin Tendulkar during the practice sessions while shooting for his movie ‘M.S. Dhoni- the Untold Story’. He later stated that few words from the Master Blaster meant the world for the Bollywood heartthrob.

The star of Bollywood movies such as Kai Po Che, Shuddh Desi Romance, and Detective Byomkesh Bakshi, described an instance where Sachin Tendulkar mistook Sushant Singh Rajput for a domestic player while admiring the shots he played during a net session.

The expression on Sachin Tendulkar’s face when it was later revealed to him by Kiran More, that it was Bollywood actor Sushant Singh Rajput and not any player representing Mumbai, did Sushant Singh Rajput a world of good. The actor gained stardom after portraying the role of MS Dhoni on screen.

Sachin surprised with Sushant’s batting prowess

“There was this one incident that gave me an immense amount of confidence just before the start of the film. I was practicing at the Maharashtra Cricket Association (MCA) with Kiran More, and Sachin Tendulkar was sitting in the first row. Sachin was watching his son on the next wicket.”  stated the DCE drop-out according to circleofbollywood.in.

“It was last 15 minutes of my practice, I could hit the ball wherever I wanted. There were helicopter shots, and I went on hitting. I was enjoying it because I always wanted to play cricket and I could never get into my school team.” added the 31-year-old, busy promoting his upcoming movie ‘Raabta’.

“Sachin walked down, he walked up to Kiran More and asked him who I was representing, because, at the MCA, only the professionals who play for the state are allowed. But Kiran told him that I was an actor and I was playing Dhoni. Sachin didn’t say anything but that expression on his face was priceless, it said everything.” concluded the actor.
