Despite a short batting line-up, the Punjabi Legends got better of Maratha Arabians with the bat and ran through the strong batting of the opposition with their strength, the bowling. Everyone in the Legends’ line-up scored runs after their skipper Luke Ronchi departed early. The likes of Zahir Khan and Chris Jordan then ensured they affected the first “all out” of the T10 league history. In their second game, they will be facing Northern Warriors.

The Darren Sammy led Warriors lost to Bengal Tigers in their first game due to their inability to adapt to T10 format. The likes of Lendl Simmons and Dwayne Smith couldn’t get going against quality bowling of Bengal and didn’t take risks either. Their bowling was a collective failure except for Hardus Viljoen who conceded only eight runs in two overs while the other four conceded more than 25 runs apiece.

Captain and Vice-Captain Selection:

With Dwayne Smith and Lendl Simmons expected to play the higher amount of deliveries in their side, one of them can be considered as a multiplier. Luke Ronchi is expected to give his best leading the side and can be picked as captain or at least vice-captain. Chris Jordan is going to play an important role for the Punjabi legends especially with the bat due to the thin batting.

Expert Advice:

Evin Lewis wasn’t at his best during the IPL this year and been following it poor performances in all tournaments. Legends might consider playing Praveen Kumar given slow bowlers succeed in the tournament thus far.
