The third edition of the T10 League is all set to get underway on Friday, November 15. This time around, the games will be taking place at the Sheikh Zayed Stadium in Abu Dhabi. Northern Warriors are the defending champions after winning the final against the defunct Pakhtoons by 22 runs after scoring 140. The opening day of the extravaganza will be a witness to as many as three matches.
The Warriors, led by Darren Sammy, will be playing the first game itself against the Maratha Arabians. It will be followed by the match between the Deccan Gladiators and Delhi Bulls. The third and last match of the day will be played between Shahid Afridi’s Qalandars and the hosts Team Abu Dhabi, led by Moeen Ali. Under the lights, the tournament is set to witness to a blistering start.
Pitch Report
The dimensions of the ground are generally humongous, but the boundaries are expected to be shortened, bearing in mind the entertainment factor. A few games of the T20 World Cup Qualifiers took place here and batting was rather tough. But the pitches are likely to be more batting friendly.
Weather Report
There are no chances of rain with the temperature starting at around the 28 degrees Celsius mark and coming down to 24 degrees Celsius. The humidity will mostly be in the 40s. Overall, the atmosphere won’t be a taxing one for playing cricket. There won’t be much cloud either.
