The inaugural edition of the CSA’s T20 Global League is all set to get underway later this year. With the days starting to count down, the build up to the tournament is getting intensified with each passing day. The Bloemfontein franchise recently unveiled the name of their team and the team logo. They will play under the name of Bloem City Blazers. They took to the micro blogging site Twitter to unveil the logo of the team.
They explained the reason behind choosing that particular logo as well. They noted that the fire in the logo denotes speed, precision, and agility – which are the key elements for any team in a competitive tournament. The tweet was very well accepted by the fans on the social media.
“Bloem City Blazers Logo elements: The fire blaze denotes speed, precision and agility that are strong qualities for a team to have,” the official social media handle of Bloem City Blazers tweeted.

The franchise is owned by the Hong Kong based company City Group. The logo has a cricket player with fire in the backdrop. In a statement released by Bloem City Blazers, the motto of the team was revealed too. The motto “is built on the spirit of togetherness, which comes to life in the team motto ‘Be a part, stand apart’. This inclusive motto will be central towards the team’s vision and mission on and off the field throughout the tournament.”
The owner of the team, Mr. Sushil Kumar, remarked that he hopes to get a lot of fans for his team. He wishes his team to play to their fullest potential and show great sportsmanship spirit in the tournament.
“I hopes the team identity is one that all South Africans and cricket fans all over the world will grow to love and support. We want to become part of the local community through the game of cricket. We want to promote the spirit of true sportsmanship and fair play, while at the same time creating a unique identity through our focus on performance and development,” he quoted as per the quotes in sport24.co.za.
