Arcs Andheri continued their losing streak in the T20 Mumbai League as they suffered a big loss on the opening day of the tournament against the Sobo Supersonics. A 49-ball 96 from Parag Khanapurkar of Supersonics played a key role in his team’s 48-run victory. The Andheri franchise now has lost each of their last five matches in the T20 Mumbai League including four in the previous edition.
They featured in the inaugural game of this league in 2018 and won it comfortably but did not taste success since then. They will now take on the NaMo Bandra Blasters in less than 24 hours after their first match. This will be the first game of the Bandra Blasters this year having finished as the 4th best side during the first season. The in-form Shreyas Iyer will be the star player for the Bandra.
The 4th match of the T20 Mumbai League 2019 will be played between Arcs Andheri and NaMo Bandra Blasters at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai.
The match starts at 7:30 PM local time (IST) (2:00 PM GMT). The game will be live on Star Sports 2, Star Sports 2 HD and Star Sports 3. Live streaming available on Hotstar.
The pitch got better for the batsmen under the light on the opening day. The scores in the night matches during the previous edition also gives a hint to the possibility of a high scoring game between Bandra and Andheri.

Shreyas Iyer was brilliant with the bat in the inaugural edition of the T20 Mumbai League. In the six matches during the previous season, Iyer struck five fifties with a best score of 91*. He amassed 363 runs at an average of 121 by smashing 29 fours and 18 sixes.
Captain and Vice-Captain Selection:
Shreyas Iyer will be an obvious choice as captain or vice-captain. The likes of Akhil Herwadkar and Sufiyan Shaikh are ideal alternatives as multipliers. All-rounders Shubham Ranjane, Aditya Dhumal and Gaurav Jathar can also be considered for these roles.
Suggested Playing XI for Head to Head/Small Leagues:
Keeper – Sufiyan Shaikh (VC)
Batsmen – Akhil Herwadkar, Shreyas Iyer (C), Pankaj Jaiswal, Siddharth Chitnis
All-Rounders – Gaurav Jathar, Shubham Ranjane, Aditya Dhumal
Bowlers – Karsh Kothari, Yash Malap, Vineet Sinha
Suggested Playing XI for Grand Leagues/Mega Leagues:
Keeper – Eknath Kerkar (VC)
Batsmen – Shreyas Iyer, Sujit Nayak, Kevin Almeida, Kadir Patel, Pankaj Jaiswal
All-Rounders – Gaurav Jathar (C), Aditya Dhumal
Bowlers – Karsh Kothari, Yash Malap, Tushar Deshpande
Given the high pricings of Shreyas, Sufiyan and Herwadkar, a couple of big names among batsmen and all-rounders might be missed out. All these three are compulsory and the remaining have to be picked accordingly.
NaMo Bandra Blasters are expected to make a winning start and extend Andheri’s losing streak.
