T20 WC 2021: Mohammad Rizwan performs namaz during a break in IND vs PAK match

Mohammad Rizwan played a superb knock for the Pakistan side in their opening match of the 2021 T20 World Cup against the Indian side. The wicket-keeper batsman scored a classy 79* off 55 deliveries and helped Pakistan thrash India with 10 wickets to spare at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium.

And, this is Pakistan’s first-ever victory over the Indian side in World Cup cricket. And now, pictures have surfaced where the Pakistan cricketer is seen doing his namaz on the ground during a break in the Indian innings. A Twitter user named Saj Sadiq has posted about this on social media.

Pakistan crushes India with 10 wickets to spare

The Pakistan side experienced a wonderful start to their campaign in the 2021 T20 World Cup, crushing the Indian side with 10 wickets to spare. Batting first, the Indian side posted a total of 151/7 on the board.

The Indian side was reduced to 31/3, and it was Indian skipper Virat Kohli and Rishabh Pant who steadied the ship and forged a 53-run partnership for the 4th wicket. While Kohli scored a 49-ball 57, Pant helped himself to 39 off 30 deliveries to help India cross the 150-run mark.

Shaheen Afridi was the pick of the bowlers for the Pakistan side with the ball. The left-arm pacer scalped 3 wickets in the 4 overs that he bowled, and leaked 31 runs in the process. Apart from Afridi, Hasan Ali picked up a couple of wickets as well.

In reply, the Pakistan side made light work of the target set by India. The Pakistan openers, Rizwan and Babar Azam helped Pakistan chase down the target with 10 wickets and 13 balls to spare. While Rizwan top-scored with 79*, Azam scored a superb 68* off 52 deliveries. Shaheen Afridi won the Player of the Match award for his three-wicket haul. Pakistan will next take on New Zealand on 26th October 2021 in Sharjah.
