In the months of October and November, the 2021 edition of the T20 World Cup will be held, and the cricketing world will be abuzz with excitement. All the participating teams will be fighting with each other to emerge as the champions of the tournament. The 2021 edition of the T20 World Cup will be held in the United Arab Emirates (UAE).

And, former Indian cricketer and 2007 T20 World Cup winner Gautam Gambhir has predicted the 4 teams that will qualify for the semifinal stage of the competition.

According to Gambhir, the four teams that will make it to the last four stage this year are India, New Zealand, England, and the West Indies. When asked to predict the semifinalists of the tournament, Gambhir said “India, New Zealand, England, and West Indies,” according to Star Sports.

Gautam Gambhir represented India in 58 Tests, 147 ODIs, and 37 T20Is. While he scored 4154 runs in the whites, he plundered 5238 runs in the ODI format of the game. West Indies are the defending champions of the T20 World Cup

The West Indies will enter the 2021 edition of the T20 World Cup as the defending champions. The ‘Men in Maroon’ defeated the England side in the summit clash of the previous edition of the T20 World Cup that was held in the year 2016 to lift the coveted trophy for the second time. They won the 2012 edition of the T20 World Cup as well.

India and England have won the T20 title once. While India won the inaugural edition of the tournament, defeating their arch-rivals Pakistan in the final in the year 2007, England emerged as the champions of the tournament in the year 2010, defeating Australia in the final.

The New Zealand side is yet to win a T20 World Cup title. In fact, the Kiwis have never played the summit clash of the tournament even once.
