It would be an understatement to say Australia thrashed Bangladesh in Match No.34 of the T20 World Cup 2021. The game couldn’t have been more one-sided as the Tigers looked utterly clueless. While the track at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium seemed a nemesis for batters in the first innings, the Australian players scored runs for fun when their turn came.

As a result, the Aussies recorded an eight-wicket triumph and went a step closer to securing a place in the semi-final. Speaking of how the game panned out, the coin landed in Australia’s favour and Aaron Finch unsurprisingly opted to bowl. Like previous games in the Super 12 stage, Bangladesh suffered another batting collapse.

Leg-spinner Adam Zampa scalped a five-wicket haul as Mahmudullah Riyad’s Tigers were skittled out for 73. Australia’s win was pretty certain with such a mediocre target on the board. However, their batters went all guns blazing to enhance their net run rate. Skipper Aaron Finch fired on all cylinders as Australia crossed the line in 6.2 overs, winning with as many as 82 balls to spare.
