Pakistan thrash Scotland and enter the semi-finals on an unbeaten note

The Pakistan side thrashed the Scotland outfit by 72 runs in their final group stage clash to enter the semi-final stages of the 2021 T20 World Cup in an unbeaten fashion. After posting a total of 189/4 on the board, Pakistan restricted Scotland to 117/6.

Such was the poor state of affairs for Scotland that apart from Richie Berrington, who scored 54* off 37 deliveries, none of the other Scotland batsmen could even cross the 20-run mark.

Shoaib Malik is one of the greatest batsmen that Pakistan has produced in T20I cricket. He is currently the 3rd highest run-scorer for Pakistan, and has plundered 2434 runs in his T20I career, and has scored them at an average of 32.02 and a strike rate of over 125. Malik has also plundered 9 half-centuries in T20I cricket as well.

Malik has been in excellent form in the 2021 edition of the T20 World Cup and has scored 99 runs in 3 innings at an average of 99.00 and a strike rate of 186.79. Shoaib Malik and Pakistan will next be seen in action on 11th November 2021 when they take on the Australian side in the second semi-final match of the 2021 T20 World Cup in Dubai.
