The Taipei T10 League proved to be the relief for the cricket fans who were missing the cricketing action due to the Coronavirus pandemic. Eight teams competed across 20 matches (semi-finals yet to be played) in different rounds since April 25 and we are down to four sides now competing for the ultimate glory.

The first semi-final between TCA Indians and PCCT United was due to be played on Saturday but the rain led to the game being rescheduled to Sunday. On May 17, the knockout matches, the final and the seventh-place playoff will be played as the Taipei T10 League will reach its climax.

FCC Formosans and Taiwan Dragons are the other two semi-finalists. The knockout matches are scheduled to be played at 7 AM IST and 9 AM IST respectively while the title clash will take place at 11 AM IST. The bottom two sides, Taiwan Daredevils and ICCT Smashers will fight it out to avoid the wooden spoon in the final game of the day at 1 PM IST.

Which team is the favourite to win the trophy?

With all the four semi-final teams looking equally strong and balanced, it is tough to predict the favourite or the winner as of now. PCCT United is the team having momentum with them though having won four out of their five matches in the tournament. All the victories have been dominating and clinical for them and seem to be the favourites to make it to the final as well.

However, TCA Indians were the table-toppers in their group during the league matches and they are also coming into this match after defeating the FCC Formosans in the semi qualifier. As far as the other two semi-finalists are concerned, the Formosans also topped their group and the loss in the previous outing wouldn’t affect them much.

The Taiwan Dragons, their opponents, have been on a winning spree as well winning four consecutive matches after losing their first game of the tournament. In short, three extremely close encounters will determine the winner of the T10 League on Sunday. The semi-finals, final and the seventh-place playoff, all these matches will be streamed live on SportsTiger.
