8. SRH – Manish Pandey, Shahbaz Nadeem, Siddarth Kaul
Manish Pandey, who was merrily fetched at a price tag of INR 11 Crores in the IPL 2018 auction has so far been topsy-turvy for the orange army. Perhaps it was only in the last season when Manish Pandey had invigoratingly scored some crucial runs for SRH which eventually makes his retention completely dubious. Also, with the likes of David Warner, Bhuvi, and Rashid Khan being the top likely retained candidates, it will be interesting to see whether SRH even rebuys Pandey in the next IPL auction.
Even Shahbaz Nadeem, who was traded at INR 3.2 Crores in IPL 2019, has so far been a reasonable buy for the franchise. With Rashid Khan being their premier spinner, Nadeem has mainly been a bench warmer for SRH and has only played 11 games in the last three seasons. Even from his limited opportunities, Nadeem has been fairly bleak which eventually thus paves a certain way for his future omission.
Also, even Siddarth Kaul’s bowling has majorly been on a decline and is now mainly infused into the team as a replacement of Bhuvneshwar Kumar. Hence even his IPL salary of INR 3.8 Crores will face a cease after IPL 2021.
