Tendulkar's biopic 'Sachin: A Billion Dreams' to be released in five different regional languages

Movie to be released in Hindi, English, Marathi, Tamil and Telugu.

On the 13th of April 2017, the entire nation held their breath to catch the first glimpse of the much-awaited trailer of Sachin Tendulkar’s biopic ‘Sachin: A billion dreams’. The trailer has already hit 22-million on YouTube to denote its popularity amongst the masses. The biopic is written and directed by James Erskine. Ravi Bhagchandka and Carnival Motion Pictures produced the movie under the banner of 200 NotOut Productions.

The biographical movie tries to encapsulate the life of the living legend since his childhood. Tendulkar states in the trailer that watching the likes of Sunil Gavaskar, Kapil Dev, and Ravi Shastri lift the 1983 Cricket World Cup, inspired the Master Blaster to start playing the game.

It also displays the notorious nature of Sachin Tendulkar as a child and highlights the mischevious deeds of the Little Master. The movie is set on the backdrop of narration from the Maestro himself. It also directs at the darkest phase of Indian Cricket when many cricketers were involved in match fixing. Former Indian captain MS Dhoni can also be seen expressing his fondness for watching the cricketing god during his early days.

However, looking at the massive popularity of the biopic, film producer Ravi Bhagchandka affirmed that language should not be a barrier to watch the movie as it would be released in five languages namely Hindi, English, Marathi, Tamil and Telugu. The producer beautifully put into words that the transcends language and it is only befitting that the movie must be released in as many languages possible for people from all the creeds to enjoy the experience

“Sachin Tendulkar is a sensation that transcends language. He has clearly created an era which we as Indians can be proud of. His story is one that we want everyone to witness, without the barrier of language.” stated Ravi Bhagchandka according to Mid-Day.
