It is a well-renowned fact that AB de Villiers is the master of all trades when it comes to playings sports. From swimming to Rugby and Tennis to Cricket, AB is a champion of all. He once defeated a 10-year old kid in tennis named Kevin Anderson who reached the fourth round of Wimbledon for the third time on Friday. The 31-year old now hopes for a rematch against Mr. 360.
After the win on Friday, Anderson became the 7th South African to win 50 Grand Slam matches. Apart from Tennis, Anderson is also an ardent cricket fan. He expressed his disappointment for not able to witness de Villiers in action for the ongoing England-South Africa Test series.
Still waiting for a rematch against AB: Anderson
Going back 21 years, Anderson recalls about the time he faced the wrath of de Villiers’ racquet. “I played AB at tennis a long time ago. He was 12 and I was 10. He was a good tennis player and he beat me, We keep in touch but I am still waiting for a rematch.” commented Kevin Anderson according to cricket country. “I know that Saturday at Lord’s is always a special day but I will have to watch it on TV. I have to keep my priorities and that will be my recovery for the second week,” added Anderson.
Anderson felt that he has been playing good tennis lately and termed what happened in the French Open as a minor hiccup. “I feel like I am playing really good tennis lately. I feel healthy and what happened at the French Open was just a hiccup, I am really pleased with how the three matches here have gone. I have worked hard on my grass court game and I think it’s a surface which suits first strike tennis” concluded the 42nd rank tennis player from South Africa.
